I am having a problem installing DFS on Glassfish. I have a ear file called emc-dfs.ear and when I install this ear file it shows up as an enterprise application. When I looked at the Glassfish documentation it shows a jar file being installed and the web service just poping up in the web services window. Have you ever installed DFS on a application server besides the ones enclosed in the install? Thanks Richard
Richard,
I have never explicitly installed DFS, other than the default install you get with the Content server. I have installed a custom service built with the DFS infrastructure, but this was actually instaled into the embedded app server on the content server… I did review the DFS Deployment Guide for D6SP1 and it seems that Glassfish is not supported. On page 8 under “Supported application servers” only Oracle AS 10g R3 (10.1.3.x) and IBM WS AS v6.1, Fix Pack 11 are supported.
